The Difference Between 'Self Care' & 'Self Love'
— BY PETA KELLY
Self care: I have my rituals locked down.
Self love: I’m solid even when on a week long Netflix binge.
Self care: I only do things that are high vibe
Self love: There is no f.ing dogma in my house.
Self care: I’m saying no.
Self love: I have zero guilt and don’t need to justify myself.
Self care: I only eat organic/paleo/raw/keto food.
Self love: I eat and enjoy whatever my body asks for.
Self care: I have set my boundaries.
Self love: I uphold them no matter who it ruffles.
Self care: I have tough conversations in the moment every time.
Self love: I honour and protect my process in conflict and speak when I am ready.
Self care: I am gonna meditate with gongs and bathe in CBD infused high frequency oils blessed by the dalai lama.
Self love: I’m gonna do whatever I most feel like even if it’s the most unspiritual shit ever.
Self care: I really need to slow down.
Self love: I am from a long line of women who were in survival mode and am unravelling a nervous system that won’t slow down overnight. I give my slowing down process grace.
Self care: I have a permanent out of office on so I don’t have to be glued to my computer.
Self love: I no longer feel I owe anyone my energy.
Self care: I only do things that are in alignment for me.
Self love: I make high integrity decisions especially when they are anonymous and without applause.
Self care: Giving to myself.
Self love: Receiving it.
Self care: Things I can show other people I am doing to take care of myself.
Self love: The private and subtle honouring of ourselves, that no one can ever really know about.
