At Home With DEIJI Studios
— BY LAUREN TREND
During my academic trajectory, a great deal of my research was centred upon the psychology of dress: What clothing can communicate, inwardly and outwardly. And ultimately - how clothing makes us feel.
What has been commonly found, among researchers and psychologists alike, is that when we step into something more physically (and mentally) comfortable, signals are sent to our parasympathetic nervous system, communicating to our bodies that it is time to rest and reset.
As soon as I get home, or am decidedly done with my day, I get out of my everyday clothes and straight into loungewear. It may sounds like such a simple, surface level concept, and one you perhaps already do without thought, but rest assured that it can have a profound impact on our ability to switch off, and welcome relaxation.
My favourite loungewear at the moment is The 01 Lounge Wear Set by none other than Deiji Studios. It’s comfortable, and most importantly - sustainably and ethically made.
You can find more of their current loungewear as self-care collection, here.
What do you like to change into to welcome rest? What items make up your self-practice uniform?
