A secret? I used to blame my cousins for things I’d do as a child and the chaotic Leo and Scoropio in me loved to watch them get in trouble for it. Like I stole a calculator (yes, a calculator) from school and blamed it on my cousin and he got spanked for it. My grandmother still doesn’t know I lied about that hahaha
Someone you look up to? My mother
Something you're proud of? Myself
I feel most creatively fulfilled when... My dream, my vision, my hunger for creating leads me to stand in front of the very thing I desired or set out to bring to life.
I'm currently working on... me — I feel I’m constantly learning what it means to show up for myself and some days are easier than others, but I’ll get there.
This time last year, I wish I knew... that life would grace me with a love that I never knew I could foster within myself, for others, for my past.
I'm grateful for... my beginnings. Every instance of self-doubt, every notion of insecurity, every bit of healing that took place. They’ve molded me into a warrior, a person that little Deon would be proud to see.
