First thing you did this morning? Stretched and rubbed my body.
What does 'wellness' mean to you? Wellness means being able to identify within inner-self, relying and traveling through your own process and pace without documented time.
Products found in your shower/by your bath? A range of F. Miller Skincare products, a non-aluminum deodorant, grape seed oil and toning mist.
Three things that can always be found in your kitchen cupboard? A manual coffee brewer, oats and a few favorite mugs.
Favourite kitchen utensil? A spoon. Now that I think of it, I use it most — it serves a variety of intentional purposes and actions.
Favourite Travel destination? New Orleans, Louisiana — so far. Though my homeland in Africa will top that as soon as I land.
Currently reading? Calypso by David Sedaris + re-reading A Cushion In The Road by Alice Walker
Currently browsing (.com)? My Pinterest Recommendations, SP stories and NeedSupply
Favourite breakfast food? Lately, Oatmeal or a blended nutritional shake. Is coffee considered breakfast? Most days it would be completely ideal to start with a coffee, and I have for over two years but I’ve only come to realize that I shouldn’t consider a coffee first thing waking up. It’s too aggressive on our digestive track.
Three items in your make up bag? Hand balm, preferably by Aesop or Susanne Kaufmann. Egyptian musk during autumn/winter season. Maison Louis Marie No. 4 for spring summer and a F. Miller Lip Balm which lasts forever.
An album/mix that calms your nervous system? My very first curated playlist ‘Indie R&B’ that was made back in high school. Some songs I’ve never deleted and they bring out the simplest joy of felt times.
An album/mix that hypes you up? Astroworld by Travis Scott.
Most commonly used apps on your phone? Instagram, Messages, Spotify and Gmail
Favourite form of movement/exercise? Running. Something about the feeling during and after that makes every part of myself I’ve ever questioned disappear. It’s truly a high. Yoga when it’s too cold or too warm outside, I always come back to center with this too.
One thing you'd like to incorporate into your day/week that you're currently yet to? Journaling in the morning or night. I’d also love love love to make the appropriate space to meditate each morning, as I rise. I believe its super important to set the intention for our day.
Nighttime rituals? I recently got into drinking turmeric shots at night, dimming lights, lighting candles, palo santo, French music, preferably by Myth Syzer or Bonnie Banane. Also, visually documenting how I feel any evening. Could that be a form of journaling?
I feel most creatively fulfilled when... I document my process, personal feelings or when I’m servicing on my behalf of creative input.
I'm currently working on... I would reiterate this question to: I am endlessly working on my body, my desire to control things and my emotions towards the world’s wrongs. Though, I am working on a few branding projects, such as management and developing strategies for visually/analytically increasing audiences.
This time last year, I wish I knew... That I am not always going to think that what I’m working towards is longterm. That doubt comes in many forms and you learn to love things until you don’t – and then you do all over again.
I'm grateful for... Sunrise. It’s a chance to get it right this time. Something so simple can be taken for granted and that it’s often hard to stay in bed, rather than not wanting to get out of it.
