The New Pharmacists

There must be more balms.
Heart balm for absence. Sun balm for the pale. Beach holiday balm for routine. Dark balm for candles. Calm balm for stomach knots. Lip balm for insults. Hand balm for holding. Forrest lake balm for cities. Wind balm for limp hair. Karaoke balm for unremarkable nights. Book balm for bushfires. So they can know the future volumes. They are burning. Ointments for bad habits. For a flare up of feelings. Salves for raw emotion. Lathers and drops. Apothecary for sins on the inside of skin.
