First thing you did this morning? Made a coffee & porridge, put on some tunes and flicked through a magazine.
What does 'well-being' mean to you? For me, well-being is looking and feeling peaceful through mind, body and spirit and making that a priority in your life.
Currently reading? I have just finished "Dark Emu" by Bruce Pascoe and the next book I'm getting is Stan Grant's "Talking to my Country."
Currently browsing (.com)? The Local Project and The Design Files is a fave online destination.
A resource / piece of writing you'd like to share with us? I actually wrote a piece in The Guardian Australia about diversity in Australian fashion and the way our industry can make meaningful change from core brand/company values and internal procedures. You can read it here.
An album/mix that calms your nervous system? Two albums I love to listen to when I'm in solo chill mode is, Songs in A Minor by Alicia Keys, H.E.R. 's self titled EP and any song by Summer Walker. Smooth r&b/soul is my go to.
An album/mix that hypes you up? I have a gym pump up playlist that I listen to and curate. Some good songs and some songs you keep to yourself! haha!
Three items in your wallet / bag? Phone, bank card and water bottle.
Most commonly used apps on your phone? Instagram, emails and text.
Products found in your shower/by your bath? My favourite products are by Sukin. I find they work best for my skin.
Three things that can always be found in your kitchen cupboard? Containers of nuts, seeds & dried fruits, canned goods and pasta.
Favourite kitchen utensil? Oh I have a few faves; spatula, microplane and the blender.
Favourite travel destination? Europe in summer! Also back home to Perth where all my family are.
Favourite form of movement/exercise? I play field hockey, it's my favourite game. I love boxing and running too.
Nighttime rituals & practices? I love to cook, so my favourite time is dinner, tv and chill, brush teeth and bed.
One thing you'd like to incorporate into your day/week that you're currently yet to? I used to meditate a lot more so I would like to bring that back into my weekly routine.
A secret? I live on a plant based diet, but sometimes I can't resist a bit of dark chocolate now and then!
Someone you look up to? I've always looked up to athletes like Adam Goodes and Cathy Freeman. Their stories inspire me to continue to push through barriers of career we face as Aboriginal people.
Something you're proud of? I'm proud of the work I continue to do in fashion and my former life as an athlete, it has all started to culminate into a path that allows me to give back to my community. That's what is most important to me about the work and careers I have had, is to get to a place where I can give back and that's where I am at now.
I feel most creatively fulfilled when... I’m collaborating with like minded creatives in fashion. This is where the magic happens and pushes us to be better and better each time.
I'm currently working on... several shoots that I can't say too much about now, but when you see them you will love the stories and campaigns. What I can say is that I am launching my own brand very soon, I can catch up with Self Practice when that launches.
This time last year, I wish I knew... more about the direction I wanted to take personally for my career and gain those skills earlier.
I'm grateful for... my health and the work I have been able to do in fashion during such a challenging year personally and professionally for a lot of creatives. The fact that I get to continue to work and stay focused on that has truly been a blessing.
